Family Caravan Holidays at Haggerston Castle

It was immaculate and very homely. Had everything we needed.

The holiday park has a Weatherspoon's onsite that does good breakfasts and ok evening meals, although the caravan has a kitchen area should you want to gook your own (we didn't!). The 'van was spacious and comfortable and we got 2 good nights sleep on our short stay. We were there to walk over the causeway to Lindisfarne/Holy Island as part of our Northumberland Coastal Walk, although it's an hour walk to the causeway so wish we had sorted out a taxi to the start point. We didn't make any use of the park's family friendly facilities such as play areas, boats, swimming pool etc so can't comment on those.

A very look after caravan, we were welcomed with nicely scented and clean place to stay for the night. We were slightly early than our expected check in time but the place is already ready to welcome us. Our little boy loved the Panda theme decor, no it was the tortoise that he loved the most. We were blessed with a lovely weather that we had a great sunset view of the lake and our son had already explored the soft, playground area and meet the horses just a few steps from the caravan before it went dark. In the morning, nobody wants to wake up but it’s time to go. We checked out on time and parked at the parking area. Had breakfast, a bit of soft play again, did the pedalos (lovely morning sunshine) to greet the swans and ducks by the lake and lastly we did the aerial adventure.

The caravan was beautifully clean and welcoming lots of friendly finishing touches. All the items you need for a lovely stay away. The photos don't do the room justice, the lounge seating area is very spacious and comfortable. Everything was spotless. The sleeping areas also very good. Good size shower room larger then some caravans which was great, made helping littles get cleaned up much easier. The situation on site was also excellent felt quite and peacful and could look out at pony flied which we all loved, but close to main site. Enough parking for 2 cars. Would highly recommend. Also fantastic communication with the host.

The owner had made sure the property was exceptionally clean & tidy and had left some refreshments for us which were much appreciated. Unfortunately we only stayed for 1 night instead of 2 and we never had the opportunity to use any of the site facilities.

The location was great for us ...lovely corner plot near enough to amenities but far away enough for peace and quiet...across from lovely field with lots of ponies and horses. The caravan felt like a home from home immediately. The added extras of small bottle of wine chocolates and chocolates and gin cocktail mixers was a lovely surprise. The decor was great and the place was immaculate. There was plenty of privacy around the caravan on the corner plot...great fresh coffee machine with beans provided.

The caravan was exceptionally clean. It was also in a quieter area of the site, which was a definite bonus. Plenty to do.

Clean and tidy and surprisingly spacious.

Such an amazing stay, the caravan was clean & fresh with everything you needed… even down to fairy liquid! We would definitely stay again, thank you so much!

Beautifully presented and wonderful homely touches. Also had made it an Easter theme which the kids loved (and the wee egg was a lovely touch) Lovely and bright bedding and everything you would need from dish cloths to hairdryers!
